Manhattan is teeming with the choicest of tipples. And the speakeasy craze of the past 4 years is in full swing; we’re even spilling over into the boroughs. So it stands to reason that NYC is also the choicest of locales to host the annual Manhattan Cocktail Classic (Yes, it’s a pun). Starting tomorrow at 12noon tickets will be available for purchase to the festival’s various events that will range from a gala at New York City’s Public Library to seminars, walking tours and croquet tournaments. I’m personally hoping to attend something akin to a repeat of last year’s rooftop burlesque. With over 3,500 attendees (45% enthusiasts; 55% industry), 2010’s Cocktail Classic boasted 150 brand sponsors, 75 events and 31 different venues. Need a place to stay, or to stumble home to after a few too many Manhattans or custom cocktails? The Ace Hotel is offering a 15% discount on rooms booked by Classic attendees. Cheers!
